'Dust' is a local touring exhibition curated by Joyce Iwaszko (AirSpace Studios) and Andy Cooke (Weather), an exhibition taking inspiration from the Stoke-on-Trent's City of Culture 2021 bid.

A collaborative/curatorial exhibition concept derived from a joint fascination of colour and hope for the future for the Stoke-on-Trent as the City of Culture 2021.

Andy's colour palette for the design identity of the bid is drawn from the garnet and gold of the Staffordshire Hoard along with blues and greens inspired by the River Trent and Stoke-on-Trent's Green City status.

Joyce references the colours used to promote the bid and those of Wedgwood's Jasperware, creating a dialogue across colour, surface and time. Joyce's practice is focussed on the exploration of materials such as clay, cement, ceramic pigment (DUST) and paint, with the aim to converge histories and a sense of place

The purpose of the exhibition is to inform, inspire, highlight and promote the bid to a wider audience across Stoke-on-Trent.
