Iwaszko utilises found architectural stone features from a section of the disused Spode building, together with elements taken from the Blue Italian pattern aiming to evoke thoughts and memories of past industrial design and social history. Iwaszko is interested in using stone, cement, clay, pigments and paint to converge histories and a sense of place. The work is concerned with identity, secret codes and temporary existence.
